WHO YOU WILL BE WATCHING

About The Competition

The Inter-Provincial Regional Championships bring together some of the top volleyball talent from across Aotearoa. Athletes competing in this event represent the highest level of the domestic game, with many also featuring in our Men’s and Women’s national programmes.

You’ll see players returning home from scholarship programmes in the USA and Canada, bringing valuable international experience and raising the level of competition even further. The event also features professional athletes competing on court, including players like Tamara Otene (Harbour), who has recently completed her professional season in Puerto Rico.

Our Volley Blacks athletes will also be representing their regions, using this competition as a key opportunity to fine-tune their craft ahead of international duty. Many will be heading to India next month for the AVC Nations Cup, making this one of their final preparations before stepping onto the world stage.

The IPC Regional Championships are a true showcase of Aotearoa volleyball, where current national representatives, international returnees, and future stars all come together on the same court.
