Volleyball Bay of Plenty
Volleyball Bay of Plenty (VBOP) is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven CoachForce Officer – Volleyball to lead the recruitment, development, and recognition of coaches, officials, and volunteers across the Bay of Plenty region.
This is a part-time role with flexible hours, ideal for someone with coaching experience who enjoys working collaboratively across schools, clubs, and regional and national sporting organisations.
The CoachForce Officer plays a key leadership role in strengthening volleyball coaching and officiating pathways across both beach and indoor volleyball.
You will plan and deliver coach development opportunities, support volunteers, build strong networks within the volleyball community, and work closely with Sport Bay of Plenty and Volleyball New Zealand to align with national coaching frameworks.
Success in this role will directly contribute to an increase in both the quality and quantity of volleyball coaches and officials across the region.
Volleyball Tasman Incorporated
Volleyball Tasman Incorporated (VTI) is seeking an organised, reliable and community-minded Operations Manager to support the administration, financial management and governance of volleyball across our region.
This is a flexible role of 25–40 hours per week, depending on the skills and availability of the successful applicant. We are open to discussing part-time or near full-time arrangements. Some evening and weekend work is required during competition periods and events.
The Operations Manager provides the backbone of our organisation — ensuring strong systems, accurate financial processes, and effective governance support. The focus is on high-quality administration rather than technical coaching delivery.
2026 University Placement & Internship Opportunities with Volleyball New Zealand
If you’re a university student looking for real experience in sport, events, media, or operations, Volleyball New Zealand is opening placement and internship opportunities for 2026, and we’d love to have you on board.
Events and Opportunities All Year Round. Whether you’re into beach or indoor volleyball, there’s a range of experiences that can align with your studies and lifestyle. You can be part of our action-packed summer beach season or contribute to indoor events throughout the year — or both. During the summer, interns can get involved with the GJ Gardner NZ Beach Tour, supporting top domestic and international players, or help out at the Secondary School Beach Champs, where the next generation of athletes shine.
There’s also the chance to be part of Futures and IPC international events, and even co-design elements of the experience, helping shape how events are delivered. Indoor volleyball offers just as much excitement. Interns can help deliver the National Secondary Schools, which hosts over 198 teams each year, or support the Club Championships, where top club teams compete for national titles.
Across all events and day-to-day business, you’ll gain hands-on experience in operations, media, marketing, and project delivery, with opportunities to co-create initiatives that make a real impact. Interns are part of the team, not on the sidelines. You’ll build connections with coaches, officials, staff, and partners, while gaining flexible, real-world experience that complements your studies in sport, communications, media, marketing, business, or event management.
Joining Volleyball New Zealand means stepping into a supportive, passionate team, building your network, developing your skills, and contributing to the growth of volleyball in Aotearoa.
