NZSS Championship Entries   195 teams entered, BOYS 97 GIRLS 98 

Due to venue capacity and meeting the required finish times by School Sport NZ, entries will be capped to 98 boys and 98 girls due to venue capacity. Only those who have qualified through their Regional qualifiers will have confirmed spots based on the current seedings (to be loaded).

Wildcard rules and process Here: 

• Only 1 wildcard application can be requested through Regional Association with supporting documents 

• Regional Association to submit the application online for approval from VNZ upon completion of regions seeding tournament or 13th March (whichever is latest).

• Cost: $10 per student (only players signed off on rosters are eligible)
• Time: 8pm - 10.30pm
• Where: Arena 3 (courts 7 & 8)
• As this of the return of the social since 2023, One adult is required to chaperone their team during the social, while a Coach/Manager also attends the function at the Marist Sports Club rooms (next door by Arena 2 entrance car park area)

• Coach/Manager to collect the team wrist bands from the Event operations office, level 1 above court 3 before Friday 27th March at end of the first finals match please.

• An adult chaperone must be present in the arena at all times and have 100% responsibility of their team during the social. Teams must enter and leave together.

  There will be no bags (backpack, school bags etc) allowed in the venue during this time.

  Volleyball NZ has the right to remove teams due to inappropriate behaviour (if it is individuals the whole team will be asked to leave with their adult chaperone)

• There are significant changes to eligibility requirements and processes that have come into effect, please ensure you have a clear and accurate understanding of how this may affect your school team. 

• All exemption or dispensation requests need to be completed 10 days prior to our entries closing on the Monday 16th February

• School Sport NZ Team Roster template must be completed for all teams. This form will be available to schools via the SSNZ website by end of January and includes principal sign-off for eligibility and media opt-out requirements. A completed and signed Team Roster is part of the registration process and must be submitted to VNZ prior to participation. Students will not be permitted to compete without a fully completed and approved roster.

• If a school is required to seek an eligibility exemption, this process must be completed directly with School Sport NZ, who may contact VNZ to verify details. School Sport NZ will provide VNZ with an official letter of approval or decline alongside the Team Roster, and this documentation must be received before the 'student' can participate.
