The 2025 beach season for NZ A athletes saw podium representation at almost every G.J. Gardner Homes Beach Tour stops. James Sadlier secured a podium finish at 3 out of the 4 tour stops before going on to secure a 5th and 9th place finish on the Senior Asian Tour with Jack McManaway. Juraj Krajci medalled at all 4 tour stops alongside James Sadlier and World Champion/Olympian Andre Stein from Brazil. Tyler/Kilpatrick also boasted great finishes with a 5th, 2nd, 5th, and 9th.
On the women’s side- Danielle Quigley and Kiana Stevenson were the 2025 G.J. Gardner Homes Tour winners after finishing 1st, 3rd, 5th and 5th. Meile-Rose Green played alongside various partners through the domestic season placing 4th, 3rd, and two 5ths. Green/Quigley then paired up for Asian Tour and Futures events where they placed an impressive 5th at the AVC Songkhla Open. This result is the first time in NZ history where two women’s teams finished within Top 5 of an Asian Tour event showing the depth NZA in continuing to produce.
The 2024/2025 NZA squad was a healthy mix of experienced athletes with younger and developing athletes. The developing players were able to get a glimpse of how they are more than capable of competing against high level teams, but more consistent work is required to continue to close the gap.
