Volleyball New Zealand Now Advertising for Chief Executive Officer

 General

Volleyball New Zealand is now advertising for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation through its next stage of development.

The Auckland-based role will provide strategic and operational leadership across the national body, with a strong focus on sustainable growth, commercial development, and strengthening relationships with regional associations, Sport New Zealand, and international partners.

The CEO will oversee an annual budget of approximately $5–6 million, lead long-term sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and represent Volleyball New Zealand at key events both domestically and internationally. The role requires a visible leadership approach, with regular engagement across regions and the wider volleyball community.

While previous experience in volleyball is not required, an understanding of high-performance sport environments is considered an advantage. Volleyball New Zealand is seeking a commercially minded leader with strong business acumen, entrepreneurial capability, and the ability to drive change in a collaborative and community-focused setting.

The position offers a competitive remuneration package, flexible working arrangements, international travel opportunities, and the opportunity to work with a supportive and engaged Board.

Applications for the Chief Executive Officer role are now open.
