Volleyball New Zealand announces digital upgrade

Volleyball New Zealand (VNZ) has announced a major technology upgrade for the administration of the sport of volleyball throughout the country.

VNZ has partnered with Sportsground Ltd, a New Zealand based digital technology company, to utilise the Sporty.co.nz platform for its website, mobile app, national registration system and competition management for VNZ tournaments.

The selection of Sporty by the VNZ Board was not made lightly according to the Acting Managing Director of VNZ, Debbie Hyland. “We’ve been considering alternative systems and technologies over a number of years. We also listened to feedback from our regional associations and our broader community. We are pleased to have identified a local sports technology company with the scale and proven ability to meet the requirements of our growing sport across the motu,” Hyland said.

Mike Purchas, CEO of Sportsground Ltd says they are thrilled to have been selected to deliver the solution. “Volleyball New Zealand has identified the importance of making data-led decisions in the way it administers, manages and supports the sport of volleyball. We are enormously proud that Sporty has been selected as the national platform for this,” Purchas said
