About the role

The Beach Competitions Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of Beach Competitions within the organisation, ensuring the smooth operation of success of these events.

The role will require working effectively and collaboratively with participants, officials and stakeholders – enhancing the overall experience of all beach competitions.

Who we’re looking for

If you consider yourself a leader, a team player, an innovator, or someone who enjoys a challenge to help evolve key products for our community, then this is the role for you. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience and success in managing sports competitions

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple competitions simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants, officials, and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of relevant sports rules and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a fair and consistent manner

  • To be considered for this position you must be legally entitled to work in Aotearoa New Zealand and obtain a Police Vetting check.

Vacancy: Volley Ferns Head Coach

Volleyball New Zealand seeks applications for the position of Volley Ferns Head Coach for the next cycle of the programme.

Our senior women’s indoor programme is designed to develop New Zealand Volleyball athletes who can perform to the best of their ability consistently. The Volley Ferns Head Coach will play a significant role in helping to achieve this goal. The purpose of the role is to create an environment that inspires, challenges, and develops their athletes to be better.

The key roles and responsibilities for the role over the two-year team cycle period (both domestically and internationally) are:

         Prepare a two-year plan inclusive of internal and international activities, which meets the stated outcomes of the nationally focused development of the programme (athletes and coaches are being serviced nationally)

         Attend Volleyball New Zealand events to observe athletes in action so you can select, give feedback, and build relationships with your athletes

         Build rapport with your athletes to gain trust and respect

         Improve the overall performance of the athletes in your team

         Prepare and travel with the team to domestic and international commitments

Vacancy: NZ A Beach Coach

Volleyball New Zealand seeks applications for the position of New Zealand A Beach Coach for the next cycle of the respective programme.

Our NZ A programme is designed to develop New Zealand Volleyball athletes who can perform to the best of their ability consistently. Our NZ A Coaches play a significant role in helping to achieve this goal. The purpose of the role is to create an environment that inspires, challenges, and develops their athletes to be better.

The role involves part time squad coaching December 2023 - October 24, involvement in training camps as well as the 2024 G.J. Gardner Homes New Zealand Beach Tour.
