What an incredible weekend in Ōtautahi! It was amazing to have the tour stop in Christchurch, with an electric atmosphere and top-tier volleyball on display. A massive thank you to Canterbury Volleyball Association for their mahi in making this event happen!
A shoutout to Perry and Josh, who battled their way from the qualifiers to claim a well-earned bronze medal after an intense nine-game weekend!
We also saw Alice Zeimann make her return to the sand alongside Shaunna, securing gold in the Christchurch leg of the tournament. Meanwhile, the young NZ A duo of Sadlier and Krajci had a standout performance, taking the gold over their fellow NZ A teammates, Kilpatrick and Tyler.
A special mention to local heroes Hanna and Fernando (Daisy's mum!), who finished fourth in the women’s main draw! Their community showed up in full force, bringing incredible energy to the bronze medal match and cheering them on as they played some epic volleyball.
