Club Volleyball

Overview

Over 30+ affiliated clubs take part in three Zone qualification leagues/events during June to September, culminating in the Volleyball New Zealand National Club Champsionships in October. Each of the zones are made up of VNZ affiliated Regional Association, with each Zone guaranteed two positions per gender in Division One of the Club Championships.

All Zone players, coaches and managers must fully complete the VNZ Membership prior to participation in any league

Northland, North Harbour, Manukau Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Waikato.

Hawkes Bay/Poverty Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu and Wellington.

Tasman, Canterbury, Aoraki, Otago and Southland

Preliminary Inquiry: 5:00pm - 6:45pm - Compulsory Team Sign In

Club Transfer Forms

All players moving to a new club must complete a VNZ Transfer Form. This form is to be completed and lodge with VNZ prior to competing for the new club and before participation in any Zone qualifying leagues or events.

Below are some key points to keep in mind when transferring clubs
- A player may only transfer Clubs once in a VNZ Membership year - 1 March - 28 February
- Other than for School players, Club membership is established on a player’s first Club registration with VNZ.
- There is no time limitation – a player must seek a transfer from the last club they played for regardless of how much time has lapsed since their last game for the transferring club.
- Prior to playing for a new Club, the player and Club must have received confirmation of approval of the transfer from VNZ.

2019 Club Champs Loan Form

The VNZ National Club Championships Loan Window shall be from 16-24 September 2019

Following the conclusion of Zone Qualification events, each qualified Division I team may transfer in one player from a non-qualified Division I team within the transfer window which will be 16-24 September 2019. The player must complete a Loan Form, have it lodged and signed off by VNZ on or before 24 September 2019.

Loans are only to be granted at the discretion of the Loaning Club

Loans may not be granted if a player has an unsatisfied financial obligation (whether disputed or not) to the club for which an Invoice or other formal documentation supporting indebtedness to the Club has been issued prior to the application for transfer is received by the transferring Club.

Where a financial obligation between a Club and player is unable to be resolved this will be referred to VNZ for resolution. VNZ decision will be final.

2019 FIVB International Transfer Certificate

An International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is required for all Players playing at Club National who's 'Federation of Origin' is not Volleyball New Zealand.
