EVENT REGULATIONS

4 Star (Dec 28-29)     ☆☆☆☆

Qualification - Saturday 28th 8:00

Single Elimination 16 teams max / gender to qualify 8 teams to Main Draw

Compulsory Technical Meeting - Saturday 9:30

1st Main Draw Game - 10:10

If no qualifier needed all teams to register from 8:15 for an 8:30 technical meeting and 9:00 start

Double Elimination 16 teams max / gender

8 teams direct entry, 8 teams to qualify. Up to 2 domestic and 4 international wildcards / gender

2 Star presented by Dirty Dog Eyewear (Dec 28)     ☆☆

Compulsory Technical Meeting - Saturday 9:30

Pool Play followed by Single Elimination

All teams direct entry 

(+ 8 losing teams from the 4 Star qualifier)

Winners will receive Dirty Dog Eyewear

 

Junior Joust presented by Dirty Dog Eyewear (Dec 28-29)

Compulsory Technical Meeting - Saturday 8:30

Pool Play followed by Single Elimination

Born in 2002 or later

Sunday Session (Dec 29)

10:00 coaching clinic

10:00 - 13:00 free courts available      

Free to all players entered in any division

Accommodation

We have secured Churchill Campground exclusively for the NZ Beach Tour. 

  • Across the road from Midway Beach and next to the Olympic Pool. (1 mins walk to our centre court, 30 seconds walk to our side courts)
  • communal kitchen including BBQ and bathroom facilities. 
  • 8 cabins which sleep 5 people each. (sheet, pillow and pillow case only provided)
  • Loads of space for camping.

Per person prices:

Camping - $17/night 

Cabin - $27/night  

Bookings can be added to your Gisborne Slam Event entry. Cabins are on a first come first serve basis. (35 spaces)

You can book any number of nights from 26. 27, 28 and 29 December.

We strongly advise that athletes and supporter bring no single use packaging and ensure that any waste that they do create is dealt with in the appropriate manner. We would encourage you to take all compostable waste and recyclable waste home with you to, or use the correct bins provided to deal with that waste.
