TIME OUT with Toni-Maree
We’ve had a whirlwind of activities over the last couple of months. Club Champs and Junior Champs had a great turn out. The Annual Forum and AGM had great representation across NZ with all but 2 association’s represented. I’ve managed to visit a number of Associations around NZ to touch base and connect in with VNZ’s strategies. Great meeting you all and I will continue to work closely with you as we grow and develop the game.

2019 New Zealand Provincial Beach Volleyball Champs
January 22 - 23, Mt Maunganui
This year the NZ Age Group Beach Champs will become the NZ Provincial Beach Volleyball Champs. This will bring the event more alligned to what we are doing with indoor. Also at the U15, 17 & 19 grade we will be emphasising the need for teams to represent their association. We will also be reintroducing the U21 and U23 grades as 2019 will see a opportunity for NZL to send U21 teams to Asian Champs. We hope that the Provincial Champs will be become an association driven event, for 2019 we are encouraging associations to coordinate teams where possible but teams will also be able to enter directly. (Also please note that and with the addition of the U19 Grade at the NZ Beach Volleyball Champs on Jan 5 & 6, players at that age group have an opportunity to win a National title with any partner, and then represent their province on Jan 22 & 23)
