New VNZ Membership Process 2008
Volleyball New Zealand is acutely aware of the difficulties associated with the present Membership structure for members, associations and for the national office. To this end a new Membership proposal was drafted early in 2007.
This has been further amended following advice sought, and is now available to members as the Membership structure and process to be implemented from 1st March 2008.
The new VNZ Membership system was proposed having considered the following:
- One sport volleyball (beach and indoor) one membership fee structure
- Three categories Association Affiliation, Individual and Participation Levy
- Annual (12 month) membership - new/renewal of membership required annually from 1st March.
- No upgrades play all the volleyball (beach and/or indoor)you wish for the period of your membership until 28 February annually.
- Incentive payback for Associations (10% on Individual Memberships paid direct to VNZ and 30% on membership collected by Associations
- Complimentary Membership for volunteer Coaches/Managers and Officials at VNZ events.
- Continuation of School Membership Form for VNZ indoor events students representing schools not required to register individually. Can apply for beach if registering through a school.
All operational aspects/requirements of the new system to assist members and associations to complete registrations with the National Office from 1st March 2008 have been included. I appreciate in advance, your support to help with a smooth transition, and look forward to assisting you to maximize benefit to all parties.
It is agreed that there may be further improvements required, and to this end constructive feedback is welcome during the implementation period (2008) with a view to finalizing the system for 2009 and beyond.
