About Us

Volleyball New Zealand (VNZ) is the nationally and internationally recognised governing body for volleyball in New Zealand.  We are committed to the development of Volleyball  as a strong, vibrant and progressive sport at the heart of New Zealand's identity.

The National Office is in Richmond, Nelson and sixteen regional associations support volleyball development nationwide.  Throughout New Zealand there are talented, passionate people responsible for delivering the game to clubs, schools and teams and to fostering the development of players and officials to represent New Zealand at the highest levels.

Volleyball New Zealand is committed to the delivery of high quality volleyball events to meet the needs and demands of our participants across all ages and levels.  Through the provision of major national events and the support and sanction of regional and local events in the Associations, the number and variety of events provided across New Zealand continues to grow.

Volleyball New Zealand has key partnerships with SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand) and NZOC (New Zealand Olympic Committee). VNZ is affiliated to Oceania Zonal Volleyball Association (OZVA), the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

Volleyball New Zealand is governed by a Board  of four elected and three appointed members. Read more about the Board and portfolios, meetings, strategic plans.
